Case File No. 244 - Deadline: December 31, 2017

Christmas is ten days away! Are you ready? Make sure you take lots of photos this Christmas season because this Case File is perfect for scrapping your holiday photos.

So, are you ready for the new challenge? Grab you forensics kits, CSI players, and get ready for some serious sleuthing as we open Major Case File No. 244.

CASE FILE

It's only natural that we'll be celebrating Christmas with our Case File this month. We've got a delightful vintage Christmas Scene to inspire our challenge. This vintage postcard was found at an Etsy shop called AnAntiqueAffair. Don't celebrate Christmas or have Christmas photos? No worries! The color scheme would be beautiful for photos taken outdoors, and many of our Testimony prompts give you options that will work with any theme.

Digital scrappers can find a free template for the sketch, created just for our players by the Nifty Pixel, here.

Remember to scroll all the way down to the bottom of this reveal post for RGB codes, color descriptions, and more detailed explanations of the Evidence and Testimony prompts.

For our Russian players, Detective Anastasia has translated our Case File into Russian:

CSI Freestyle!

Have you heard? Starting in January, we're changing things up a bit here at CSI! Let's call it CSI Freestyle!

We'll still have the traditional Case File clues if you like playing the "old way," but for those who found the Case Files restrictive, we're introducing newer, more relaxed rules. You can use use those clues in any combination or number you'd like.

For example, you can use just the colors in the Scheme. Or just the Evidence clues (as many or as few as you'd like). Or just the Testimony clues. Or any combination of the three. It's totally up to you--you're in charge!

OR--and this is a big game changer--you can draw your own inspiration from our Case File Scene.

Because at CSI, we're all about inspiration.

We're excited, and we hope you are too! (Oh, and we can't wait to reveal all our new and returning sponsors for 2018!)
